Job Description
DESCRIPTION A Telecommunications Engineer is needed for specialized and large-scale projects related to the BSC, RNC, BSS and Node-B, within the Mobility Provisioning Center organization. The candidate's responsibilities may include but are not limited to cell definition within the BSC/RNC, changes to RF parameters, and many special projects related to the RAN. This position will perform remote data translations in varying types of equipment and technologies (2G, 3G) to support our wireless infrastructure. This position will create and document methods of procedure, work within larger project teams, and create and test configuration scripts prior to implementation. This position will focus on performing RF parameter and feature changes associated with national compliance as well as pre/post-launch BSC/RNC/BSS and Node b parameter configuration changes. In addition this position must also attend project calls and perform off hours work.
Qualifications:
- BSEE/BSEET or min 5+ years equivalent job exp,
- Understanding of GSM or UMTS switching concepts,
- Ericsson/Nokia/Siemens BSC experience,
- Ericsson/Lucent RAN experience,
- Ericsson/ALU platforms,
- RNC/BSC/Node B arena,
- UNIX/Windows/DOS proficient,
- Knowledge of ISUP/IS41 ? SS7 protocol,
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
- Excellent oral and written communication
SKILLS
