Senior Consultant - Ophthalmology Senior Consultant - AHIMA, AAPC Certified - Skills Required - Ophthalmology, Coding, Reimbursement ,Medicare Compliance, ICD-9-cm & CPT, HCPCS& E&M, AHIMA or AAPC, Chart Auditing, Training Curriculum Senior Consultant - Ophthalmology
We are currently looking for a bright, fun and energetic person to be part of our consulting team. You will be part of a nationally recognized and highly respected company with an opportunity to travel and work with ophthalmology practices.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Responsibilities include medical record auditing for compliance with Medicare rules and regulations, lecturing at national society meetings, conducting client seminars, writing articles, and answering correspondence and phone inquiries with regard to Medicare coding and reimbursement.
WHAT SKILLS YOU NEED:
Advanced level skills in MSOffice Tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required
Must have a thorough knowledge of ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E&M services
Must possess high-level skills in business writing and be able to communicate with physicians and staff
Strong organizational skills, problem solving, and attention to detail is a must
Relocation assistance available for an ideal candidate!
WHAT AN IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's Degree
AHIMA or AAPC certification helpful
Minimum 2-3 years ophthalmology medical record auditing experience
Must be able to travel up to 40%
Development of policies and procedures and training curriculum
Comfortable speaking at conferences & training seminars
